Qilalugaq is the Inuktitut word for the beluga whale. Belugas are known for their rich vocal communication and strong social bonds within their pods.
Qilalugaq Voices is an emerging music and community initiative for Inuit students in the Montreal region who enjoy singing and vocal music. Through choir rehearsals, shared meals, study time, and creative projects, participants have the opportunity to connect with one another while celebrating the Inuktitut language, Inuit culture, and music.
Our goal is to foster a sense of belonging, cultural pride, artistic expression, and educational success through the power of music and friendship.
